In fact, it would be wrong if I did and interfered in the editorial process.
As a publisher, my job was to ensure every product was as good as it possibly could be. Create an environment where creativity could flourish. Then ensure as many people as possible see the brilliant work the creatives produced. It wasn’t rocket science.
My colleagues are looking to me to provide the money and to keep them in a manner to which they are accustomed. Given there are more of them than I can wave a stick at, it could be some challenge! But I’ve promised not to spoil the ship for a ha’porth of tar.
If you’re a reader and you don’t get the service you want or you have suggestions on how we could improve, let me know. That’s my job to sort.
If you’re in the industry and want to support a worthwhile cause, get in touch. It’s my job to help you spend your money.
Hopefully, I haven’t bitten off more than I can chew…
And, like any good salesperson, I talk in idioms.
